MARDI has been entrusted to develop and disseminate appropriate technologies in agriculture and agro-based industries to be applied by designated target groups. During 2011-2015, five upscaling projects, seven pilot projects, 15 model farms were developed to transfer technologies and knowledge knowhows to multi stockholders, including farmers and producers. MARDI also has been actively promoting its technology through various means, such as the mass media consultancies, training, workshop, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and publications. In addition, efforts were made to empower agro-entrepreneur through conducting programs such as The Youth Agropreneur Program, Azam Tani and Entrepreneur Training Program. The Adoption of MARDI’s technologies by farmers and entrepreneurs is envisaged to contribute positively to the enhancement of the national agriculture and agro-based industries.
